Quality Award Judges:

The following individuals served as judges for the ASQ Healthcare Quality Awards Program for the 2008 – 2009 fiscal year. 

• Bruce Johnson, MS, PMP, CQE, CQMQ/OE, CQA, CQIA -
  Mr. Johnson is President of Johnson Consulting Services and is a Senior Member of ASQ, Chairman of ASQ Cincinnati and the Quality Awards Program.  He is an ASQ International Team Excellence Award Judge and an Examiner for the Ohio Partnership for Excellence, Ohio's Baldrige Award.

• Dick McKeever
  is President of d2Quality, an ASQ Fellow and member of the Board of Directors.  He is a former ASQ Cincinnati Chairman and Regional Director.  His quality award judging experience includes  an ASQ International Team Excellence Award Judge and trainer and an Examiner for the Ohio Partnership for Excellence, Ohio's Baldrige Award.

• Mike Shumaker, MBA, CQA, CQM, SSGB
  Mr. Shumaker is President of Focused Quality Solutions and Vice Chair of ASQ Cincinnati.  He is an ASQ International Team Excellence Award Judge and an Examiner for the Ohio Partnership for Excellence.

• Ron Tuznik, CQE, CSSBB, CQM/OE
  Mr. Tuznik is a Quality Engineer with Adecco Technical, an ASQ Fellow, former Chairman of ASQ Cincinnati and ASQ International Team Excellence Award lead Judge.  He is a six sigma black belt and has over 20 years of experience as a quality professional.

• Denis Hogya, MBA, CQE
  Mr. Hogya is an ASQ Fellow and former ASQ Cincinnati Chairman.  He has over 35 years of quality management experience.  Mr. Hogya teaches the ASQ Cincinnati Back-to-Basics courses, is our Education Chairman and coordinates our certification preparation courses.

• Suresh Nirody, CQMQ/OE, CMRP, CIRM
  Mr. Nirody is Associate V.P. of Supply Chain for Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Ctr.  He is an ASQ member, and has served as a senior MGNQA Examiner.

• Ray Attiyah, BSE
  Mr. Attiyah is the founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Definity Partners.  He is a member of ASQ and has served as a judge for the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award and the Ohio Manufacturers Association Team Excellence Award.

• Michelle Deutsch, CQMQ/OE
  Ms. Deutsch is a Senior Business Consultant with Duke Energy and an ASQ member.  She has served as a judge for the ASQ International Team Excellence Award and has almost 20 years of experience working in the areas of performance management and continuous improvement.
