The Cincinnati Section of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is sponsoring a major quality award for greater Cincinnati organizations.  The first year award will be dedicated to quality improvement projects in healthcare.  All healthcare related organizations from Southwestern Ohio, Southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky are welcome to apply.  You do not have to be a member of ASQ to participate in the awards program.

All for profit, non profit and governmental healthcare and behavioral healthcare organizations that provide direct care, healthcare products and/or services, reimburse providers, administer healthcare services, conduct research, and/or offer educational programs/classes are encouraged to submit a project for consideration.

Participating in the ASQ Cincinnati Quality Award gives your organization an opportunity to benchmark its projects with the best in the area, gain recognition for your quality improvement initiatives, and demonstrate your organization’s commitment to quality.
 

The three finalists will receive over $1,500 in cash awards as well as plaques, award certificates, gift certificates, recognition on the ASQ Cincinnati Web site and publications, and admission to the Awards Banquet.  The winner will automatically qualify as a finalist for the International Team Excellence Award in 2010, sponsored by ASQ headquarters.

Press releases will be sent to area newspapers and all participants will be listed on the ASQ Web site and Awards Banquet program.  All participants will receive a certificate of recognition for their commitment to quality and their participation in the Quality Award Program.
