ASQ Cincinnati is pleased to announce three training opportunities for the fall of 2016 and winter of 2017:
1. a 12-week course to prepare for the Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt (CSSBB) exam.
The classes will be held each Monday from November 28th thru February 27th. The testing window we are targeting for this exam is March 3 -19, 2017.
The SSBB training covers Lean and Six Sigma and is applicable to those interested in either the green or black belt as defined by ASQ:
Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) – supports a Six Sigma Black Belt by analyzing and solving quality problems, is involved in quality improvement projects.
Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB) – understands Six Sigma philosophies and principles, including the supporting systems and tools, demonstrates team leadership and understands all aspects of the DMAIC model.
2. an 8-week course to prepare for the Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)exam. The classes will be held each Wednesday from November 30th thru January 25th.
The testing window we are targeting for this exam is February 3-19, 2017.
ASQ defines the Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) as a professional who understands the standards and principles of auditing and the techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting, and determines if quality systems and control systems adhere to established criteria.
3. an 8-week course to prepare for the Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) exam.
The classes will be held each Thursday from December 1st thru January 26th. The testing window we are targeting for this exam is February 3-19, 2017.
ASQ has defined the Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) as one who understands quality tools and their uses and participates in quality improvement projects. This is a great course for both experienced quality personnel or those new to quality, or for anyone, in any industry, who wants to understand the fundamentals of quality and continuous improvement activities.
Location: The training for all classes will be held at Alliance Calibration, 11402 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45241
Pricing: Cost for ASQ members is only $300; non-member investment is $350. If you are not a member of ASQ, but would like to take the training and sit for one of the exams, please consider joining both ASQ and the Cincinnati Section. Not only will you save $50 on any of our courses, but you will also save $150 on the cost of each exam – more than paying for the first-year cost of membership. Required material: We use the applicable primer from the Quality Council of Indiana for each course (https://www.qualitycouncil.com), please refer to this website to ensure you have the most current version. Some students also choose to order the applicable Solutions Text that explains why the answers to the primer sample questions are correct or not; a disc of extra questions is also available to help you prepare, but neither are required for this class.
